The Rodeo Room honors the State Sport of South Dakota with a:
- Display representing women in rodeo, including photos of female riding and roping contestants from nearly 100 years ago
- The Black Hills Gold Crown worn by Miss High School Rodeo queens for many years
- An explanation of the various rodeo events, including photos, riggings, and championship saddles
- Historic items including a saddle won in 1918 at Cheyenne Frontier Days by Leonard Stroud, and bull riding equipment used by Ernest Tooke
- Equipment used by Jerry Olson, a local rodeo cowboy, to ride his trained buffalo, Sam
- Chaps and a scarf worn by Casey Tibbs, who hailed from Fort Pierre, SD, and who was one of the most famous cowboys of all time
