We pride ourselves in providing one of the best tour group experiences in the Black Hills. Guided tours are available upon request and knowledgeable volunteers are always available to answer questions. Discounted admission for organized tour groups of 10+ and drivers and tour escorts are free.

School Field Trips
We offer school groups a unique and educational field trip experience with our indoor and outdoor displays and hands-on activities that help students understand High Plains life. Our knowledgeable volunteers will guide the class’s tour experience.
We want all school groups to have access to the history on display at the museum, so Field Trips are free and on a donation basis only.

As part of our bus tour we had about an hour and a half here to view its many exhibits. The exhibits are spread throughout two floors and there is an elevator. We were greeted and given a short orientation about Spearfish and the center. This center was quite interesting and the views outside were fantastic!
