What: Day of the American Cowboy Celebration
Where: Bruce Miller Theater / HPWHC
When: Saturday July 23 1:00pm

Our annual day-long celebration of the American Cowboy. Join our staff and volunteers at the High Plains Western Heritage Center as we celebrate the determination, toughness and grit that combined to make the American cowboy. The centerpiece of the day will be a western music concert featuring Paul Larsen and Cowboy Poet Marty Blocker. Paul’s silky baritone and easy cowboy singing style, combined with vibrant storytelling, make his music entertaining and engaging. Marty is a recently retired ranch manager from Nebraska who has been featured in cowboy poetry gatherings throughout the midwest for more than 20 years. The two of them will certainly set the stage for the afternoon as we transport ourselves back to a simpler time when the focus was on hard work, community and commitment. It’s the Day of the American Cowboy 2022!!!
