Remembering Spearfish: 150 Years Of Community
Leland D. Case Library to Present Photo Exhibit at the Heritage Center.
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of Spearfish, the Leland D. Case Library for Western Historical Studies at Black Hills State University will present a photo exhibition focusing on the first 75 years of Spearfish’s history. “Remembering Spearfish: 150 Years Of Community” is a curated collection of 30 images that tell the story of early Spearfish, showcasing the people, places and everyday moments that shaped Spearfish’s identity.
The photo exhibition will be on display throughout the Heritage Center starting April 1 and into the summer season.
In conjunction with the exhibition will be a free talk by author Paul Higbee, “The Roots of Spearfish” on Friday, May 29 at 2:00 PM.
